Late this evening I ran to the store. I pulled into the strip center parking lot and became part of massive frenzy of cars. People everywhere! No place to park! If I didn't know better, I would have thought it was the day after Thanksgiving sale. The women in the crowd all had a haggard look on their face towing kids in hand. I feel for them -- I'm wearing that same face. But if I can make it just 12 hours, I will be on the road to freedom.

School starts tomorrow.

What is with all these schools starting so early?? It makes me kind of sad. I love having my kids home during the summer. Course, this fall they won't be headed to school as we're doing that homeschool thing.
When i was a kid I loved the start of school; new backpack and supplies, new clothes, new classroom and teacher... But this is just too soon! It's barely the middle of August!

I hear you sister! It's so weird. It came up on all of us so unexpectedly this year. Maybe that's why everyone looked so haggard last night!
