I Never Thought I Would See the Day

I've been married for almost 18 years.   Wow -- that seems like a long time.  But not so long when I compare it to my high school friends.   I was the last one to tie the knot.   During our entire married life, we have never had furniture in our living room.  Never.   You know how it goes,  there's always something else that takes presidence -- dance lessons, team sports, family vacations, car repairs, braces . . .  the list goes on and on.

Instead of a fancy sofa, and comfy chairs, this room is a barren wasteland.  It was the place where little children played tag, performed skits, and danced with their friends.  Now it's the place where people put stuff when they are working on a project.  Notice the storage bins?   Those are part of Project Purge.  I'm happy to report that those have been moved into the Studio.

Are you wondering why there is a black trash receptical in  the corner?  Let me put your mind to rest -- it's not trash, it contains 72 hour emergency supplies.   There is an ongoing battle in our house for garage space.  Every time I move this bin  out there, it mysteriously makes it's way back into the house.  One of these days, if I can outsmart my better-half, it just might find a permanent home where it belongs -- in the garage.

Friends, I have news.  Big news.  After 18 years, it finally happened. Channin, Ex-Book Clubbers, Scrap Book Gang, are you  better sit down for this. . .

It's not done yet, but it's almost there.

I love this room.

I decided that the coffee table was my favorite and then scanned the list to see where you got it. I was both very impressed at your skill and very disappointed to find that I can't have one, too! Gorgeous room!
