Inspired

It's Wednesday and you know what that means -- I'm linking up with Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy today.   Last week I browsed through many of the WIWW links and I learned a thing or two.

1.  I learned that most of the  women who share on this site, do not spend exorbitant amounts of money on cloths.  Most of them shop at Target, Wal Mart, Old Navy, and Thrift Stores.  I never would have guessed that looking at the outfits they put together.  Soooo cute! I would purchase these things for myself (except for the skinny jeans, I'm not quite there yet.

2.  I learned that even though most of these woman are much younger than me, I can still be inspired.  I looked though my closet  and put together outfits that I wouldn't have even considered before.  I think I've tripled my wardrobe options.   Thank you linkers!!!   Because of you, I am trying a littler harder, and I'm having fun in the process.

Last week I was inspired by Sweet Serindipity who put together a floral blouse with a little striped cardi.   I loved the mix of patterns.  This is what I found in my own closet.   I like it.   When I lose a few more pounds, I'm going to add a red belt.  I wore it with jeans, but I'm on the hunt for a cute jersey skirt that I can wear for summer.

Top is old, from Target.  Cardi is from Nordstrom.  Pin, I made myself.

Sunday, I wore this sweater I found on sale, can't remember where. I just love the color.  I had to take a closeup so you can see the cute details.   I'm thinking this would be a great way to bump up a basic Old Navy cardi.

I'm inspired by my  friend Eve who wears a sweater like this with a kelly green dress.  It's adorable. I'm hoping to find a kelly greet top or skirt, but until then,  I put it with a top from Down East Basics that is studded with jewels.

I wore this with my gray skirt and these shoes that I found in the sale room of Anthropologie a while back.  I love them.

I wanted to dress them up a bit for church, so I made these little shoe clips.

I use clips like this on flats, and a pair of white shoes I use for religious purposes.   If you want to make a pair, let me know.  I'm going to be selling kits in my junk shop in a range of colors.

Those shoes are seriously awesome! I love how you dress them up with shoe clips! I used clip on earrings to dress up my wedding shoes! haha ... I'm always digging your color combos. I can't tell if it's a ice blue or grey shirt, but either way, mustard & grey/blue look great together and on you!

OK- so 1st- I NEVER thought I would wear skinnies. Now I'm in love- but still not brave enough to wear them without a long tunic or dress. Second- some of my favorite linkers at WIWW are Grandmas that have a good 20 years on you, so honey there is inspiration everywhere. ;) Now- WOW- love the clip you made for your cutie Anthro shoes.Perfection! Oh, and the floral and stripes- so cute. Never would have thought. Isn't Ana great? Can't wait to see what else you come up with. I'm a new follower. meagan (at) fairlyfabulousblog.com
