Boo Google

I just read that Google Friend Connect is going away in April!
And Picnik!!!
Is that true?
If so, then I am very sad.

How are we going to keep in touch with our blog friends?
Does this mean that "buttons" are the way to go?
Or links?
Any thoughts on this?

And what about Picnik?
Best place ever to make a photo collage.

I think I'm mad at Google, are you?

Who wants to picket HQ?
Me, that's who.
I'd probably look stupid standing out there all by myself though.
I can picture it now:
Groovy Googlers staring out the cafeteria window
at the old woman holding a sign that says
Bring Back Picnik and Friend Connect!!!!
They'd snicker and go right back to eating sushi.

I can't sit back and let it happen without at least writing a letter.
The squeaky wheel get's the grease after all.

Go here if you want to jump on the Boo Google band wagon
and write a letter too.

Yes, I'm mad at Google. Getting rid of Picnik sealed the deal for me.

I had forgotten all about picnik. I think I only used it once, but had I remembered, it would have been lovely to use. :(

I do like the feedburner e-mail subscription service because it's nice to get blog updates via e-mail, but I'm always afraid to unsubscribe because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings! Is that all you use friend connect for or does it have other functions?

I feel a bit goofy 'cause I'm not certain what all that means, so I'm gonna ask ... does that mean that unless the blog is on Blogger I won't be able to see them? If so, I'm mad too ... if not, I have no idea whether I'm mad or not! LOL

I just came over to tell you that a package arrived in our mail addressed to my hubby with "crystalb" as the return address. I don't know if I can wait until Valentine's -- I better make him hide it!

Hi Crystal,

I see you're not ready to let go of Picnik and I can't say I blame you. I just wanted to give you a heads up about a definite Picnik alternative swingin' your way soon, www.PicMonkey.com. It's from former Picnikers so it should feel just like home! We think it's going to be just as great...if not better...than your old fave!

Sign up PicMonkey's site and we’ll keep you updated on a launch date. Also, feel free to send me your feedback, feature requests, and, of course, any questions you have!

Cheers,
Jenn
